APNOSYSTEMS – WEARABLES FOR YOUR LIFE
As a team consisting of doctors and engineers, we believe it is our duty to serve humanity. From our work and with our experience, we believe we may have discovered a solution that would reduce infant deaths–namely ones caused when an infant ceases breathing while sleeping. We believe that our solution will not only save the life of the baby’s, but will also protect everyone that is in some way connected to him or her.
The ApnoSystems Infant Care System (ICS) in not yet US FDA authorized for marketing in the United States. We intend to pursue FDA authorization during 2016. Obviously, our device does not replace the AAP guidelines for Infant Sleep Safety.
USPTO patent granted on December 2013, protected until 2032. First tests on babies completed on May 2015. Our first wearable, wireless and safe device, connected to an app and succesfully tested on a sleeping baby during November 2015.
APNOSYSTEMS IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATION
We strongly do not recommend its use for the prevention of SIDS. We do not support any information that is from other sites. We do not support the environment of the cribs where some babies have been tested and captured during the first studies and we brought to their caregivers the AAP guidelines of Safe Sleep.
A THERAPEUTIC WEARABLE DEVICE FOR ALL AGE GROUPS
Many can benefit from our therapeutic wearables. You can take it virtually wherever you go: when you sleep, when study for exams, traveling by plane — anywhere. Our wearables are designed to keep you, and those you love more safe each day. And you can have this security from the cradle through retirement.
APNOSYSTEMS RECOGNIZED WITH AN HONORABLE MENTION IN NASA TECH BRIEFS
Our Infant Care System has been recognized with an Honorable Mention in the Medical category by the NASA Tech Briefs ¨Create the Future Design Contest¨ on last September 2016. We are honored with this recognition of several years of hard work by the team.
The Infant Care System (ICS) is the first therapeutic infant wearable device. It is a pulse-oximetry based rescue garment worn by an infant on the hand or foot. It is suitable either for at-home or hospital use.
This device will monitor the wearer while using, but most important, it will make an action over the patient. You can carry it wherever you go.
